12/29/2023 0 Comments Obs studio update 18.0.1 does not work![]() It's distributed under the GNU General Public License v2 (or any later version) - see the accompanying COPYING file for more details. This is more a post telling it is possible to get full framerate for recrding/streaming with OBS (v 18.0. OBS Studio is software designed for capturing, compositing, encoding, recording, and streaming video content, efficiently. (again game capture can still be a bit finicky with video card drivers, a full system restart to dump driver memory typically fixes this) The ONLY problem with this is that when the ENGINE is running, BOTH capture options will still grab from any window of focus, ignoring the window/executable you are pointing it at. ![]() The client handler seems to allow game capture but its not reliable and window capture has the best results when running it at fullscreen (and recommended at the same res as engine)įor the game itself, I got it running borderless windowed with both window and game capture and I still get full frames. The mic audio is the input audio that goes into the computer. Simply put, desktop audio is the output audio from your computer, e.g., gameplay sound, voice chat. All old versions distributed on our website are completely virus-free and available for download at no cost. For those interested in downloading the most recent release of OBS Studio (64-bit) or reading our review, simply click here. In the setting menu, there are two Desktop Audio options and four Mic Audio options. What you can do in the meantime is to download and install an older version of OBS Studio 28.0.1 (64-bit). By dropping 32-bit support, the OBS team can focus development efforts on 64-bit systems and not have to maintain separate 32-bit codebases. The next part of setting up OBS for recording is the Audio Settings. It's the only application I need to run our livestreams and it's made life a lot easier.I've been able to get OBS Studio working with MO 3.3.1 using window capture on both client handler and engine windows (game having higher priority over client) The shift to Qt 6 likely allowed the OBS developers to take advantage of new features and improvements in Qt, but Qt 6 dropping 32-bit support meant OBS Studio had to as well. It's way more stable than it used to be and I haven't really had any problems with it recently. Some nice work there from the OBS developers, really liking how the project has been going. Cleaned up the general pane of the settings dialog a bit Added a network connection stability indicator similar to classic, displays green for no congestion, yellow for increasing congestion, to red for beginning to drop frames Added separate timers to the status bar for streaming and recording Added options to general settings: Always minimize to tray, save/restore projectors on startup/shutdown, and options to automatically start replay buffer ![]() Fixed a performance issue with audio meters that could cause audio latency to increase unintentionally, or cause issues with some devices Added a checkbox to custom FFmpeg output that allows using any codec with a container format PROBLEM: I want to stream in black&white - so i apply an effect filter (Color correction/desaturate) to the SCENE, which works great, BUT is visible only in the Preview-Window The. so please forgive my maybe stupid question. Added a warning message if starting stream/recording fails hi everyone Im new to Broadcasting & OBS. Fixed a bug where main preview would not resize properly when window is resizedĪs for general changes there's quite a number of improvements, but sadly some of them are Windows/Mac only. For those of you using OBS Studio for livestreaming and recording, you might want to update as OBS Studio 18.0.1 is now available.Īrch already has the update available and I have it installed and it does seem to still work fine.
